If you’ve ever blocked someone on SoundCloud — maybe an artist you didn’t want to see, or a user who was annoying — you might realize later that you want to unblock them. Sometimes it’s about clearing the slate, or just re-establishing that connection to an artist’s new releases. The thing is, unblocking isn’t super hidden, but finding the right place in the settings can be a bit confusing at first. Plus, SoundCloud’s interface isn’t the cleanest when it comes to privacy stuff, so it’s easy to overlook the blocked list, especially on mobile. This guide covers the key steps to get that person unblocked and back on your radar.
How to Unblock Someone on SoundCloud
Navigate to your blocked list — and get there somehow
Why it helps: Because on SoundCloud, you don’t see your blocked users right on the main profile or feed — they’re hidden in a few layers deep, mainly under privacy settings. If you can’t find the list, you’re stuck. When this applies: If someone’s posts suddenly reappear, or you realize you don’t see their content anymore, you might need to check if they’re blocked. Expect: After you find the list, you’ll be able to see all the users or artists you’ve blocked and can quickly unblock them now.
Note: On some setups, especially on mobile, this menu can be buried or look different. On desktop, it’s usually faster to get there via the website, but mobile users might need to go through the app’s menu.
Step into the Privacy section
- Open soundcloud.com in your browser or launch the SoundCloud app.
- Log in if you aren’t already — yes, that’s the step that often trips people up.
- In the top right corner, click on your avatar to open the dropdown menu. Sometimes it just says Profile.
- Select Settings. The path here: Profile > Settings — or just click on the gear icon if it’s there.

Note: Sometimes unblocking on mobile doesn’t immediately refresh the feed, so you might need to refresh the app or browser.
